So what really happened in the courtroom featured in the previews for next weeks The Hills finale? According to The Huffington Post:

-A Los Angeles Superior Court spokesman said Tuesday that MTV was granted permission to film inside a courtroom for a wedding scene, but the taping occurred after-hours and without a judge’s participation.

-MTV said the ceremony was filmed after-hours to avoid disruptions to other couples getting married that day. But the scene portrayed is a departure from the typical wedding at the courthouse, which includes a wedding chapel.

-Court spokesman Alan Parachini said he was told by a staffer that the service was interrupted when Montag became upset and ran from the courtroom. He did not know if she returned to complete the ceremony.

-A check of marriage records last week did not reveal any filings by Pratt or Montag in Los Angeles County, although the couple could get married in any county in California as well as opt for a confidential license. Officials at two courthouses in neighboring Orange County said they have not received requests from MTV to film in their facilities.

So of course I’m a huge sucker for reality television. I’ve spent more time watching Run’s House than I would care to admit. Reverend Run’s daughters Angela & Vanessa have been spun off into their own show Daddy’s Girls.
